We love fall around here and I’m really feeling like we are
getting into the season this week. Windows open, candles burning, pumpkin
treats, cozy sweaters and soft blankets are among my most favorite things. And
the dogs love them too!
O and Piper have nice fluffy coats to keep them warm in the
cooler months but Ares and Chaos have short hair with no undercoat. They are no
strangers to doggie clothes and I promise you they actually like wearing them.
It’s almost time to break out their collection of Zack & Zoey hoodies and
their RuffWear coats. We have tried several different brands of hoodies and
these seem to fit our dogs so well we bought them in several colors. They are
soft and warm and great for walking in the fall and layering under coats in the
winter. We’ve had their RuffWear coats since they were fully grown and even
through the snowy winters they show almost no signs of wear.
Ares and Chaos love blankets. Ares has had his little blue
blankie since he was a baby and I’m baffled as to how it’s still completely
intact after nearly 3 years. On the contrary Chaos has to have as many blankets
as possible. They are all his except Ares’s blue one. We buy fleece blankets
from Old Navy for them since they are inexpensive but still pretty durable. You
will definitely find the boys snuggling on them all throughout the next several
months.
I don’t know about you guys but our dogs LOVE pumpkin. 2
years ago I discovered Blue Buffalo Boo Bars. They are pumpkin and cinnamon flavored
treats that are only sold this time of year before Halloween. The dogs would
have done back flips for them if they knew how so we were sad when they went
away for the season. Last year they were nearly impossible to find so this year
I promised the boys we would hunt them down and stock up. Over the weekend I
was excited to find them at Petsmart and the boys were so happy when I brought
them home. They definitely love all things pumpkin, just like their Mama, so it’s
not surprise their noses are all about sniffing my collection of Fall candles
too.
What are your furbabies’ favorite things about Fall?
